The abilities don't differ, the mastery and control vary from person to person.for example, sasuke's tsukuyomi is way weaker than itachi, and you will learn in future episodes that shisui uchica was the only exception as his mangekyo sharingan was considered to be the best only second to madara uchiha, but shisui could only use his mangekyo once in 10 years cause of the special genjutsu only he was able to cast know as koto amatusukumi.Also, sasuke's and itachi's susano'o are imperfect, the perfect susano'o which madara uchiha possessed is on par with the nine tails and he sliced a fricking mountain in two as you will see during madara uchiha vs five kage. madara easily massacres the five kage!!!

But Itachi had 3 abilities in his mangekyo sharingan (susano'o, tsukuyomi and amaterasu) but sasuke has amaterasu, susano'o and amaterasu manipulation. Like u saw in this epi he used his second eye to control amaterasu

Sorry my bad you are right Each of pair of Mangekyo Sharingan have their own special abilities and they do differ from person to person. Sasuke does not have Tsukiyomi.

I still don't get why they attacked during the summit. They could've just waited for the summit to be over and then attack Danzou on his way back to Konoha. And if they need to exterminate the other four kages, it isn't smart to attack them all at once knowing they have escorts and Taka is only a team of four.

it’s kind of Madara/Tobi’s doing. He informs sasuke about the summit and that danzou would be present there. I think in a later ep he says he wanted to see if Sasuke could fight against the kages. So basically sasuke acts mindlessly on the words of Madara.
